On March 1, 2019, I chaired the panel “Identities: Majorities and Minorities” as part of the international conference “BORDERS, IDENTITIES AND REFUGEES: The Kurdish Experience in the Middle East” presented by the Kurdish Political Studies Program (KPSP) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The interdisciplinary academic conference brought a group of renowned scholars and researchers to UCF, covering various issues related to the Kurdish experience with global salience (including minority-majority relations, constructions of group identities, physical and symbolic borders, and refugees).
The conference was co-sponsored by UCF Office of Research, PMBF Program, ICCAE, Middle Eastern Studies, and Department of Political Science.
